John Collins, Ed.D. is the founder of Collins Education Associates (CEA) which has helped thousands of teachers improve students' writing and thinking skills across the curriculum. John has taught from elementary through graduate school, and has written numerous education resources on the topic of writing, including the highly successful Collins Writing Program. He is an acknowledged expert in converting research on writing and thinking into practical and timesaving teaching techniques. Schools that have used these techniques have been singled out for recognition by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The Collins Program has benefited millions of students and enabled hundreds of schools to raise test scores and attain "adequate yearly progress."
