How do I register?
For your convenience, we offer FOUR ways to register for the event of your choice.
Register online by browsing any event, clicking register and completing requested information.

Registration forms mailed or faxed must include:
Home and school addresses and phone numbers
Grade level(s) you teach
Your title/position (teacher, principal, etc.)
If you received a brochure, the VIP number from your mailing label
Please be sure to include your payment information (check, credit card information, purchase order or billing address). Upon receipt of your registration, a confirmation will be e-mailed to you. Please wait to make any travel and hotel arrangements until you have received e-mail confirmation of your registration.
Can I register on-site at any SDE event?
For conferences: You may register on-site, but to ensure you are able to attend the sessions you want, we encourage you to register online or by calling 1-800-462-1478.
For seminars: You may register on-site, but because space in some seminars is limited, we encourage you to register online or by calling 1-800-462-1478.
Can I register using a Purchase Order?
Yes! It's easy. Simply call, mail, or fax your purchase order and provide the name and address of the school district responsible for payment. You can also bring this information with you to the conference. School payment is not required prior to a conference or seminar.
Can I pay with personal funds?
Yes. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. You may pay prior to or on-site at a conference or seminar.
Can I make my hotel reservations when I register for a conference or seminar?
You can call the hotel directly (using the number listed in each conference brochure) to make your reservations. Please be sure to book your accommodations early, as room blocks for conferences fill up quickly. SDE does not reserve room blocks for seminars.
What are the start and end times for seminars and conferences?
A typical conference and seminar schedule is as follows:
Registration from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.
Program begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m.
Morning and afternoon break
Lunch is 1 hour and start times may vary. Please read your conference or seminar confirmation for an exact schedule.
Can I get staff development credit for attending?
Credit options vary from state to state, so please review our Staff Development Credit page. You can call 1-800-924-9621 extension 233 or e-mail credit@sde.com for specific credit inquiries.
Is every conference and seminar really 100% guaranteed?
We want you to be happy! Your complete satisfaction with any seminar or conference is always 100% guaranteed. If for any reason you are dissatisfied, we'll refund every penny of your tuition or issue you a credit—whichever you prefer. Any questions? Just give us a call at 1-800-462-1478.
Can principals really attend FREE with a paid registration?
Yes. With the paid registration of any staff member, a principal may attend a seminar or conference free. However, free principal registrations are non-transferable.
How can I bring a presenter to my school or district?
Many of the speakers who present at SDE conferences and seminars are available for on-site engagements. Just call 1-877-388-2054 or visit www.SDE.com/OnsiteTraining for more information.
Do you offer group discounts?
SDE makes it easy for educators to attend SDE events as a team by offering special group discounts. To see if discounts qualify for a particular event, please contact us at: 1-800-462-1478 (for groups of 3 or more) or at 1-800-383-5410 (for groups of 10 or more).
What is your cancellation policy?
SDE makes every effort to hold scheduled conferences and seminars. If circumstances require that a program be cancelled or rescheduled, you will be notified via telephone. If for any reason you can’t attend, 100% of your paid registration will be refunded when you notify SDE at least 24 hours in advance. Notifications after this time will be refunded less a $15 processing fee. Paid registrants may send a substitute.
If you need to cancel due to weather, call the morning of the program; there is no penalty for weather related cancellations.
